3D Hubs Goes to New York: NYC 3D Printshow 2014
Two weeks ago, our founders, Bram de Zwart and Brian Garret, traveled to New York to present 3D Hubs at the first-ever 3D Printshow in New York. 3D Printshow, founded in 2012, is the world’s largest 3D printing event that showcases the latest technologies, companies and individuals in 3D printing. Previously the 3D Printshow has taken place in London and Paris.
Bram and Brian began their New York 3D printing journey at the show’s art gallery, where 16 collections of 3D printed artworks from around the world were on display. Many of the artists were also available at the gallery to discuss the inspiration behind their works and the processes they used. The range of works displayed, from skulls to building replicas to masks, revealed the exciting possibilities that can be achieved in art with 3D printing and opened up individuals’ imaginations to its role beyond art.
